Missions

Mission Ministries at LifePoint UMC develops deeply committed Christians by sending members of our congregation into our community, region and world to make disciples and serve others in ways that honor God, share Christ, transform lives and promote justice.

The objective of Mission Ministries at LifePoint is not to simply recruit and deploy volunteers. Instead, we hope to prepare people to become an active part of God’s loving, life-giving, redeeming concern for all of humankind and creation by providing opportunities for believers to give back and to grow in their relationship with God through service to others beyond the walls of the church.

Whether it’s through making donations, joining projects, or leading others, we have a place for you to serve in Keller, greater Fort Worth, and/or Beyond.

Our Current Missions Emphases includes:

To the World:

  • Become a 5-Star UM Church
  • Become a Global Missions Partner of the UMC

To our Region:

  • Cooks Childrens McDonalds House
  • PNS Feed the Homeless Ministries
  • Toys for Tots
  • Angel Tree

To our Community:

  • Snack Sacks School Lunch Program
  • Youth and Adult Missions Trips
  • Habitat House

The FIVE STAR PROGRAM of the Central Texas Conference recognizes churches that accomplish the following requirements:

  • Give 100% of assigned apportionments
  • Have an ongoing program of mission education
  • Serve the local community through outreach
  • Contribute to a conference, national, international or UMCOR Advance Special
  • As a step toward becoming a Global Mission Partner, make a financial contribution of any size to a United Methodist missionary

THE GLOBAL MISSION PARTNER PROGRAM recognizes churches that accomplish the following requirements:

  • Give 100% of apportionments
  • Have an ongoing program of mission education
  • Serve the local community through outreach
  • Establish a Covenant Relationship in support of a GBGM-trained missionary with $2,500 or $5 per  church member per year
  • Pledge support for a Person in Mission sent by a partner church in another country at $1,000 or  more per year (or $2 per church member per year)
  • Share your experience with two neighboring congregations
